#1: Quarter 1 review

#1: Quarter 1 review

Dearest lovelies,

It is that time of year where I journal on my first quarter of the year and what better way to start this blog than to share a little bit about my life this year? I like to do reviews each quarter to see how my goals are going, where I feel I am heading and just overall celebrate my success.

Last quarter

Describe the last quarter in 3 words: prosperous, overwhelming, powerful

What was hard during this quarter and how was it overcome? The main things I had to contend with were my poor sleep, intense mood swings, and pain.

I overcame them in a variety of ways which took a while, all my resources were essentially from my specialist team. I created a new wind-down routine which is lulling me into sleep. I learned how to pace myself physically (still learning mentally pacing) to reduce pain.

The emotions and mood swings have taken the longest and I’ll forever be learning; I use crystals, water, meditation, and journal techniques I’m coping now.

What were the successes? There were so many successes!

  1. I learned crystal healing finally,
  2. I received my RSPH award in Mental Health First Aid,
  3. I am a Resilience and Bereavement Volunteer,
  4. I am now a Mental Health Voice,
  5. I am making headway into my anthology I hope to one day publish,
  6. I have created beautiful routines that make my day more positive,
  7. I have found joy,
  8. I can walk more,
  9. I have started tai chi,
  10. I am feeling more hope for my future.

Overall score and comments: 5/5 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 it has passed very quickly, and there’s been a lot of appointments to work on everything but I’m blessed with the strong start.

Next quarter

Word and affirmation for the next quarter: Calming. I am formidable, I can and deserve to have my equilibrium.

Goals for the next quarter and first steps to take:

  1. Sort out my master’s registration and application – make a plan for funding.
  2. Explore my spirituality – find books on shadow work, compassion, journal therapy, the chakra system and Sufi seven senses of self
  3. First draft of my anthology to print – finish analogue version, find printing quote to be proof-read.

How confident do I feel? I’m a bit unsure how this next quarter will be so I will say 3/5 🌻🌻🌻 I feel I have accomplished so much in this first quarter that I’m ready for a bit more routine in volunteering and my projects.

Journal prompt: what have my successes been? How can I continue to recognise them?

Kindly, Leanne x
