There is no such thing as too many journals.
Hello my lovelies,
I have recently learned that I am what is called a ‘diarist’. It is a type of journal-er who predominantly records in journals their life and events. I figured I would keep things lighter this week and talk about my many journals. I love stationery and beautiful notebooks, I always have. There is just something so wonderful and fresh about decorating one and releasing all the beauty of language onto their pages. I tried electronic journals but it is not the same as pen(cil) to paper.
I have what my sister calls a ‘journal ecosystem’. I had to Google what this meant but essentially it is a selection of journals that all compliment and help one another and cover different elements of life.
I have my main journal where I am a diarist, all thoughts, feelings and writing about my days go in here. I have my one line a day journal for morning thoughts. On an evening I have my joy journal where I can write the things that made me smile that day, this is complimented by a wonderful guided gratitude journal I was gifted by family for Christmas. I also use multiple note blocks for planning the next day.
I also have my Spirit journal and moonology diary. The spirit journal contains all my insights, readings and castings as something I can go back to when I need to reflect on my spiritual health or seek guidance. The moonology diary is something new. I am tracking moods, energy levels, and sleep to see how the moon phases are impacting my life and I am hoping to notice in the not too far distance.
I have been really wanting to make a traveler’s style journal with all of them together but that just isn’t possible. I have many awaiting me though and I cannot wait to fill them all up!
Journal prompt: can I utilise an ecosystem?
Kindly, Leanne x
